With a growing family, Chris and Chantelle, the owners of this two-level, three bedroom home on the North Shore, wanted to make better use of the available space.

By relocating the laundry from one end of the kitchen into the garage, and then reducing the generously sized kitchen, we were able to add an extra bedroom with the space saved. The beautifully renovated galley-style kitchen still offers loads of storage.
Throughout the house the gib was removed from the walls. We then insulated, relined and painted to create a warmer, healthier home. New wardrobes were added in the bedrooms and new carpet was laid.
Upstairs the bathroom was renovated to include a freestanding bath and a walk in shower with recessed shelving. The use of large, neutral square tiles on the floor and walls creates a cohesive look and gives the space a relaxed vibe.
We removed the old concrete porch at the entrance and built a new Kwila deck with stairs to give easy access to the driveway. This gives the family a lovely outdoor space to enjoy the sun and is perfect for hosting family and friends.
